Upload all your sessions because they will be lost

There is a trick for keeping your configuration after reflashing. This will not save your sessions. See Method 2:

Method 1
Download the FIRMWARE dsu.tqc and su.tqc from traqmate.com forum
http://traqmate.com/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=598

Plug the SU into the DU using the DIN extension cable.
Plug the DU into the computer
    Run Traqview
    Select Tools / Firmware Update
Connect to DU if not done automatically
Use Browse to Pick the dsu.tqc file
Click Start and wait until all lights on SU stop flashing
Use Browse to pick the du.tqc file
Click Start and wait until the DU resets
Change your sampling rate back to 20Hz and re-enter driver names, etc.

Here is the Trick to saving your info!

Method 2

Connect to Traqmate.
Click on User Data and IO Data tabs to load information into Traqview
Click on Firmware Update Tab
Download new firmware to SU and/or DU as described above
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE UNIT, CLICK CANCEL, OR EXIT TRAQVIEW
Click on User Data tab - data should still be there
Click on Save User Setup
Click on IO Data tab - data should still be there
Click on Save IO Setup

In you instructions for updating a Traqmate Complete, you state that after loading the .du file, you should wait for the SU to stop blinking. When I updated the firmware, it was the .dsu file that caused the SU to blink, not the .du file.

Instructions had DU and SU backwards. Thanks for the tip.

Are there any updates to the software on our computer to view the files? I just had my SU and DU software updated when they went in for service and was wondering if there was anything else to be done.

If you just had it serviced then you should be good to go.

You can always check for updates via the forum latest updates section.
Thanks

Will the 3.15 accept HD? The 3.0 that came with my HD camera does not.
Is it not the Track studio software that needs updating? When merging Video with Data is says "does not support HD"

Quote:
Plug the SU into the DU using the DIN extension cable.
Plug the DU into the computer

SU = Traqmate itself (Sending Unit?)?
DU = Display unit?

So since everything is connected in the car, all I do is connect the laptop the same way I connect it to download sessions to upload the updates?

Update both the TraqStudio software and the Firmware for the actual Traqmate hardware, that way you have the latest of both.

If the unit is installed in the car and all wired up, just plug in the mini USB cable to the DU-Display Unit and begin the firmware updates. Since the SU-Sensor Unit is connected to the Display in the car you can update it as well, make sure you update BOTH to the latest firmware.

Once the update is complete you can unplug the USB cable and power on/off the Traqmate, on the display it will pop up at the start saying you have the latest version 3.xx, just make sure they match.

Hope that helps.
Thanks

Thanks, I see how to update the hardware in the car.
I assume I will be able to find the latest version of traqstudio somewhere on the website.

So, will it support the HD camera now? If not, why update, what are the benefits?
