This is an update/answer to my question regarding inability to connect to the display unit, after upgrading to 2.15:
We have since resolved the issue. Like any other computer story, there are a lot of steps, that are only interesting to the person being tortured with the issue.
In short, the issue was that my computer was assigning the Traqmate Dispay unit Com port 17, when I plugged the dsiplay unit into the USB port. When I went into the Auto Connect function with the display unit, the auto connect function of Traqmate only went to 15. As a result, the display unit was not recognized in the auto connect function.
We determined the Com port # for the display unit, by going to the Windows: control Panel: Device Manager.
Once the Traqmate display unit was identified on the Device Manager screen, the associated Com Port number was noted.
Then I manually insert that Com Port number, in the Com Port box, when I attempted to connect to the Display unit, and everything worked.
Credits to:
1. Ron of Traqmate, who suggested I try connecting the Display unit to another computer and see if the device manager acknowledges the display unit. (Originally, my computer did not even actknowledge the display unit with the device manager, although the second computer did acknowledge the display unit).
2. Roy Kaplan of RHK Systems (732) 266-5200, who is a computer wizard and was able to systematically walk me through to setup and completion.
If anyone reading this this has a similar issue, email me, and I would be glad to assist.
